Healing the Root Chakra

Healing the Root Chakra

Before discovering how to begin healing your root chakra it’s important to know what it is and where it is located. Your Muladhara, or root chakra is located right where your tailbone ends, at the base of your spine. Understand that your root chakra is not something you can physically see, but a place in your body that circulates energy.

The power for your entire chakra system emanates from the root chakra. If this chakra is closed or is not completely opened it will be extremely difficult to access any of the other chakras. In this article you will learn what the root chakra does, how it works and how to heal (or open it).

What is the Root Chakra?

Also known as the base chakra, Muladhara deals with survival and your connection to the earth. The root chakra gains power from your family structure. If you are part of a broken family structure, this will often result in a weak root chakra. Dysfunctional families that are disconnected from and no longer trust each other will lose the ability to connect with and trust others as well.

This can cause lifelong problems. In order to heal this chakra the family structure is critically important. The Root chakra also deals with your confidence and self esteem, which is formed at a very young age. The physical areas of the body that are connected to and affected by this chakra are the bones and teeth, prostate, the bladder and your lower extremities.

This chakra represents survival instinct, money, home and security. It deals with the connection to your human mother and mother earth as well as the connection to your physical body. If any of these are not being satisfied a disconnect from the other chakras will take place, causing the flow of energy in your body to be blocked. This blocked energy can manifest itself in physical symptoms, that will effect you.

How to Begin Healing the Root Chakra

The first thing you need to do, is meditate to re-affirm the feeling of being grounded. Some experts say during meditation, you should imagine roots coming from the earth and connection to the base of your body. The earth has healing properties, in times of stress and turmoil, placing trust in the mother earth can empower you to push through. Mediation can teach you to care and love yourself, which heals your root chakra when it has become disconnected. The more you develop this, the more you can love yourself and others. You will now know that whatever goes wrong your base will be able to handle it. In other words, trust is the number one focus of this chakra.

Through use of music this chakra can regain power, using certain chants and vocal rhythms designed to help reinforce it. In time the, Muladhara will begin to heal itself, and as it does the other chakras will be able to gain power from it. The confidence given through the reconnection of it, is transferred to the sacral chakra and up to the very top of the head.

Chakra Meditation

CHAKRA MEDITATION

Begin by sitting it in a comfortable position. You can use a chair if you like, but for best results, sit on the ground. You want to sit straight (no slouching) but allow your spine to conform to it’s natural curve.

Now spend about 2-3 minutes breathing slowly and deeply, quieting your mind. Once you feel relaxed and focused, you can begin.

Grow your Root

Bring your attention to the base of your spine. Imagine that with each breath, you’re stretching a root or roots down into the Earth. Feel your root go through the surface of grass or cement, then further into the rich, dark soil that blankets the planet. Feel the coolness of the Earth as you go deeper, moving away from air and light.

With each breath, allow your root to go ever deeper, through fresh, underground springs and deep water tables.

Soon you come to the Earth’s hard crust. Here, a space opens for your root to reach through and toward the heart of our planet.

Notice any thoughts, sensations or images that come to you as you travel on this inner journey. You don’t need to judge these, just observe them and let them pass.

Keep breathing as your root moves into the mantle. You may begin to feel heat coming from Earth’s outer core as you move toward the molten core.

The Heart of the Earth

Breath and allow your root to penetrate to the very Heart of Earth – Her inner core.

Sit for a moment and bask in your deep connection to Earth. Feel how grounded and centered you are. Appreciate your body and the body of the planet. Thank Her for the bounty she provides.

Draw it Up

When you’re ready, begin drawing energy from this heart center into your root. With each breath, draw up the power of stability, grounding and love.

See the energy rise through the earth’s layers – slowly with each breath – until it reaches the base of your spine. Notice any colors or sensations, observing and allowing them without judgment.

Awaken your Chakras

Now begin drawing this energy into your body at the base of your spine. Feel it spiraling up and into your red, Root chakra – center of Earth Connection and the Body.

Breath and feel it spiraling up into your orange, Second chakra – the center of Sexuality and Creativity. Breath it up further still, into your yellow, Solar Plexus chakra – the center of Will and Personal Power.

Notice any sensations, image or thoughts you may associate with the chakras as this Earth energy rises through them. Just observe. No need to judge or analyze.

Now breath and draw up the energy into your green, Heart chakra – center of Love, Compassion and Forgiveness. Feel the flood of loving kindness envelope you as the energy of the Earth rises upward.

Now allow the energy to come up into your Throat chakra – center of Communication. Let your thoughts dwell for a moment on the power and pleasure of speaking truth from your heart.

Next you’ll feel the energy rise to the Third Eye or Brow chakra – place of Vision and Inner Sight. Again, notice any thoughts, sensations or images without judging.

Reach for the Sky

As the energy reaches the top of your head and through the Crown chakra, imagine it bursting forth like branches of a tree. Feel your branches reach up and out toward the heavens and allow yourself to draw in the energy of spirit through your leaves and branches.

Sit for a few more minutes, basking in your connection to both Earth and Heaven.

When you’re ready, take a few deep breaths and open your eyes.
Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed this meditation technique.

Reiki and Chakra Balancing

Reiki and Chakra Balancing

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese holistic healing technique developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, which uses light touch and energy to heal the body, often referred to as palm healing or hands-on-healing.
Through the use of this technique, the practitioner transfers universal energy through the palms, which allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium.
Reiki works to restore a healthy energy flow through the body that regenerates and accelerates the body's healing ability.

A Reiki Treatment radiates a glowing feeling of energy that flows around the body and through the chakras, treating the whole body, emotions, and spirit. As energy works its way through blockages, it removes stress and negative energy from the body that cause health concerns. It promotes peace, relaxation, and wellbeing and it complements traditional medicine to bring relief of side effects and promote fast recovery.

Chakra Balancing

Science has proven that our bodies are made up of complex energy systems.
One of those systems is called Chakras. Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means "wheel" or "turning". The concept derives from the tantric and yogic traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism introduced in the 18th century by Buddhist Hevajra Tantra.
A Chakra is an energetic centre that spins like a wheel. This centre is connected to our physical body on one side and to the universe to the other. It receives and transmits frequencies in both directions and it is meant to be in constant flow.

When things are not going right in your life, whether it is your love life, your career or your bank account, can you afford to just sit back and wait hoping that some how it will just simply correct itself?

Chakra Balancing and Clearing can help the most stressed-out person regain their sense of calm and inner serenity regardless of what is going on around them. A full Chakra Clearing and Realignment is so much more than an energy adjustment.

There are 7 major Chakras, located along the body, each connected to a gland in our body that works hand in hand with all the vital organs. Through his physical connection, Chakras are responsible for other spiritual or emotional areas of our lives.

When one Chakra is unbalanced, the body becomes out of balance and the related gland and organs become vulnerable to disease. It is important to take care of our Chakra system with the same love and concern that we do our physical body.

Anytime there is something going on in the body that shouldn't be, it is due to an underlying blockage in the corresponding Chakra that requires attention. Rebalancing the Chakras allows our organs to function in harmony and unison, restoring peace, health and happiness.

What is Chakra Balance, and why is it important?

An "imbalance" in our Chakras means that some Chakras are over-active, and some are under-active. Just like anything else in life, the keyword is "balance", not too much, and not too little. Since the Chakras receive and transmit energy (which translates into psychic, emotional and physical energy) too much or too little may affect the way we think, act and feel; for instance, too little flow through the Heart Chakra could translate into a "hard hearted" and selfish personality, and too much flow through the Heart Chakra could translate into a person with a "bleeding heart", someone who's generous compassion can easily be taken advantage of. We might find that "closing" a Chakra or two actually provides more psychic and emotional relief than "opening" a Chakra.
Finding that perfect balance between openness to outside and Universal energies, and keeping up our own energetic boundaries, is the main purpose of Chakra Balancing and Chakra Healing.

REIKI HEALING TECHNIQUE - BALANCING CHAKRAS

Dry Brushing Technique

Dry brushing is not only a popular technique in Reiki healing, but it is also popular as one of the best natural health treatments for detoxification. The method is commonly used for centuries in Scandinavian countries, but it becomes popular worldwide after a Finnish doctor first proposed it to his patients as an established medical treatment thirty years ago. Some medical benefits associated with dry brushing include removal of dead skin cells, stimulation of hormones, tightening of skin, strengthen immune system, and toned muscles.

  1. Find a calm place. First, you need to find a calm place where you can concentrate on your Reiki meditation. Make sure you have enough space in the place where you can stand straight.
  2. Physical position. Some say that dry brushing technique works best in standing position – but others have had success with it in other positions too. See what works for yourself.
  3. Ground yourself. First, get into standing position and feel that the roots are coming out of your base chakra and are going into the earth throw your legs. Focus that the roots are firmly attached to the core of the earth.
  4. Brush Yourself. Once firmly grounded, use palms of both of your hands to brush yourself.
  5. Apply from Head to Toe. Use brush starting from your head to dust yourself off and go down slowly towards your feet. Brush down slowly and gradually and take deep breaths to calm you down.
  6. Meditation. Meditate that you are cleaning off all the blockages from your 7 chakras as you go down. Focus on the feeling that you are clearing all the toxins, debris, low vibrating (negative) energies and energy blockages with dry brush.
  7. Transfer Energy to Earth. As you are already grounded, focus that all the toxins, negative energy and energy blockages are flowing into the ground when you move your brush to your feet. Feel that all the negative energy transferred to earth will be filtered into new positive energy that can be used again.

Kundalini (Spiritual Energy)

Kundalini is a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness, which is thought to reside within the sleeping body, and is aroused either through spiritual discipline or spontaneously to bring new states of consciousness, including mystical illumination. Kundalini is Sanskrit for "snake" or "serpent power," so-called because it is believed to lie like a serpent in the root chakra at the base of the spine. In Tantra Yoga kundalini is an aspect of Shakti, the divine female energy and consort of Shiva.

The power of kundalini is said to be enormous. Those having experienced it claim it to be indescribable. The phenomena associated with it varies from bizarre physical sensations and movements, pain, clairaudience, visions, brilliant lights, superlucidity, psychical powers, ecstasy, bliss, and transcendence of self. Kundalini has been described as liquid fire and liquid light.

Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interprets the outside physical world.
At the same time, within us resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy (chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual being.

Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be manifest, they can never be destroyed.

When the Kundalini is awakened, these qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life.

Thus, through regular meditation, we become automatically very dynamic, creative, confident and at the same time very humble, loving and compassionate. It is a process which starts to develop by itself when the Kundalini rises and starts to nourish our chakras.

Kundalini and the Chakras

According to eastern religious and spiritual practices, Kundalini is the energy of the soul and resides within one of seven chakras, or energy centers, that stretch from the base of the spine to the top of one’s head. Depicted as a coiled serpent, Kundalini energy is located at the base of the spine.

Chakras in the Human Body

Stretching from the base of the spine to the top of the head are seven chakras, or energy centers. Depicted as “wheels” of energy that are constantly in motion, the chakras govern the overall functions of the human body, from our organs to our emotions.

Underactive, overactive, and blocked chakras can cause disruptions in the flow of energy along the spinal column creating chakra imbalances. Until the imbalance is corrected, a range of maladies can occur, including intense stress, emotional instability, and physical illness.
The root chakra plays an important role when dealing with Kundalini energy. Kundalini is the raw energy that resides within the root chakra, also known as the Muladhara chakra. Frequently depicted as a serpent, Kundalini is associated with the maternal/feminine energy known as Shakti.

Kundalini Rising

As you initially raise Kundalini energy through life experience, meditation, and yoga you become more sensitive to vibrational energy. With increased preception, your overall understanding about life deepens.

Gaining experience and knowledge feeds Kundalini Shakti, or maternal energy as it is sometimes called. It’s a progressive relationship that takes time and patience.

Think about a subject that really caught your interest when you were young. Maybe it was science or history. Whatever the case, remember how you simply couldn’t get enough? Once you learned a little about it, you wanted to know everything about the topic? The same type of seemingly insatiable curiosity applies to clarity here.

With knowledge comes clarity, and with clarity comes awakening. When kundalini energy rises and activates the all the energy centers, it results in what is called a kundalini awakening.

Kundalini Awakening Benefits

There are numerous kundalini awakening benefits and if we will start explaining them one by one, then it will take ages for us to list them. But here I am explaining some of the major and most immediate benefits that you can actually feel just after the awakening.

Kundalini Awakening Benefits  #1 – Health Benefits

Kundalini is no rocket science rather it is a way of life. Kundalini is very useful in treating and preventing health issues both external as well as internal. Awakened kundalini can cure the common health problems like gastric and indigestion to severe and deadliest diseases like tumours and cancer. In some cases it is believed that the power of kundalini has also treated AIDS and that too at advanced stage. Personally I am witness to a few testimonials in which patients suffering for years from internal ulcer formations cured their disease completely after their kundalini awakening. Veterans from medical science were also in a state of surprise after witnessing overnight improvement in their health condition.

Kundalini Awakening Benefits #2 – Intuitive and psychic enhancements

Although kundalini is not meant for achieving psychic abilities, but the awakened kundalini blesses the practitioner with heightened ESP (Extra Sensory Perception), strong intuition and psychic powers as its by-product. With the wise intent and mind of faith, following psychic powers may be also be developed over time :

Clairaudience :
Clairaudience is the ability to listen things like words, sounds and music coming from different dimensions which is inaudible to normal human ears. Some clairaudient use this skill to communicate with spirits and energies from the other side.

Clairvoyance :
Clairvoyance is the ability of seeing things like energies, object, person, location or physical events and gaining information about them that a normal person cannot see or feel by any chance.

Telepathy :
Telepathy is an ability to communicate with others with the help of our mind and thoughts. The one to whom we are trying to connect and communicate should also possess the same ability. Amazingly, we can use telepathy to communicate with anyone we can think of… yes I literally mean anyone!! Be it human beings, animals, spirit guides, ascended masters, intelligent life forms or angels

Remote viewing :
Remote viewing is a practice through which one uses ESP to see other people, things and places located at distant locations without being physically present .

Astral Projection :
Do you wish to experience how it feels when flying in open air ????  Do you wish to touch clouds and feel the blow of air on your face while you are flying like a free bird? Can we as human beings do all this in reality??The answer is YES by the means of astral projection. Astral projection is an outstanding and extraordinary experience practising which “WE CAN FLY”.

As a kid we all must have wondered at least once that why can’t we fly. As we grew up we got the answer that it is the design of our physical body which don’t allow us to fly but nothing can stop our astral body to do so.

Astral projection or Astral travel is an alias for OBE (Outer Body Experience) in which the practitioner separates his physical body with his astral or etheric body. Once the astral body is separated, the practitioner attains super consciousness also known as samadhi and can travel distant locations like different countries, different planets, galaxies and even different dimensions and planes of existence.
Kundalini awakening benefits #3 – Increased Focus and concentration :

Ajna chakra which is also known as third eye is mostly responsible for concentration and focusing abilities. When kundalini awakens, it clears and balance all the 7 chakras including the ajna chakra (brow chakra) , thereby increasing our focus and concentration capabilities.

Kundalini awakening benefits #4 – Better human being :.

There will be a significant change in personality of a person after kundalini awakening. You will become more aware and conscious. You will feel your existence like never before and be more present.  You shall realize the truth and facts much clearly behind everything you see, hear or feel.

Kundalini awakening benefits #5 – Balanced and cleared chakras :

Awakened kundalini also clears and balances all the 7 chakras for beginners. Chakra cleansing means clearing of all sort of mental and emotional blockages, there by making us more loving, creative, strong willed and successful human being.

21 Kundalini Awakening Symptoms

Here they are – kundalini awakening symptoms:

1. You know that kundalini has awakened in your body when, during meditation, you experience something other-worldly. That could be divine visions, smells you never smelled before, a blissful taste or hearing sounds you never heard before.

2. When you feel sensations in your root chakra or when your body hairs are involuntarily raised, this again shows that your kundalini energy has been awakened.

3.  When you want to do yogic body locks naturally, even though you never did them before, this is one of the kundalini awakening symptoms. Such involuntary body locks could be sucking out the air of your stomach, raising the air up the root chakra or resting the chin on the chest.

4. The breath stops without any effort in people whose kundalini shakti is awake.

5. When you feel currents of energy rising up in your body and they feel pleasant, know this is due to the kundalini energy.

6. When you experience bliss and the mantra “om” (or “aum”) chant comes naturally to you, these are the kundalini awakening symptoms.

7. When you get blank mind (without any thoughts), this is again caused by the awakened kundalini shakti.

8. When, during meditation, your eyes naturally focus in the third eye chakra, that’s a kundalini awakening sign.

9. When you feel vibrations of energy in different parts of your body and you get involuntary jerks that feel like electricity shocks, know that kundalini is awake in you.

10. When, during meditation, your body loses importance until you don’t feel it at all, this is caused by kundalini energy.

11. One of the kundalini awakening symptoms is not being able to open eyes after meditation, according to the author (this, however, I’ve never experienced, although at times I was unwilling to open my eyes because it’s so pleasant to meditate).

12. When electric currents flow up and down in your body, it’s the sign of an awakened kundalini energy.

13. If you get inspiration and insight as a result of meditation, this happens due to the active kundalini shakti in your body.

14. When the nature shows you her secrets and your doubts disappear, it’s a sign of awakened kundalini.

15. When you understand the meaning of spiritual texts that’s a sure symptom of awakened kundalini.

16. When you feel as though your body is light like air and you possess inexhaustible energy, that’s because of the kundalini that’s active.

17. A sure symptom of awakened kundalini is your ability to remain calm when catastrophic/negative conditions present themselves.

18. When you experience divine bliss, the bliss that can’t be explained in words, this is due to the kundalini that’s awake in you.

19. When you get the power of public speaking, that’s because the kundalini shakti has risen up your chakras.

20. When you perform yogic postures naturally, without the least pain and without getting tired, that’s because the kundalini is awakened.

21. When you start composing beautiful poems without any effort (as though it’s coming not from you), this is one of the kundalini awakening symptoms.

Ways to awaken Kundalini

Many people want to know how to awaken the Kundalini. And as there are techniques for Kundalini Awakening, most of the techniques are kept secret by masters until the student is ready to receive them.

Here is a very powerful technique for Kundalini Awakening based on a Kriya Yoga technique. This technique will not only awaken the Kundalini energy, moving you towards spiritual enlightenment, it also can improve your health and remove all stress and unhappiness in your life.

This Kriya Technique for Kundalini Awakening is probably one of the easiest ways to enter a blissful state of meditation. It is what would be termed a “purifying technique” as it will purify the energy channels of your body allowing more energy or Shakti to move through.

I will explain the technique in three parts:

The first part of this technique for kundalini awakening is to focus your breath starting at the base of your spine all the way up your spine and out of the top of your head. Do this for the inhale. As you inhale move your focus from the base of your spine, up the spine and out of the top of your head as though your are “breathing up” the energy.

You do not need to imagine anything. This is not about imagination but focus. Focus your breath to move up the spine and out the top of your head.
And the focus should be relaxed. You are not to force anything. You are simply gently suggesting the energy to move in this direction. So do focus the energy up but allow the kundalini energy to move on it’s own without force.

It may seem quite strange to focus your breath where your breath does not go but it is very effective. Breath is energy, “prana.” And simply by focusing the breath in a certain area, the energy moves to that area.

After practicing this for a while, you will start to feel the energy rising. The sensations will be subtle at first but over time can become very blissful. It can almost feel like an orgasm, a rush of bliss moving up your spine.

The second part of this technique for kundalini awakening is it to move the breath down your front as you exhale.

As you exhale, move the breath from the top of your head to the third eye, (located between your eyebrows) then to your throat and then to your heart chakra, located at the center of your chest.

Stop the breath at the center of your chest. And then again, inhale from the base of your spine, repeating the process above.

The third part of this technique for kundalini awakening is to awaken the energy. Because an enlightened teacher would not give this technique without initiating you into this technique. This calls for the teacher to give you shaktipat, to actually awaken your kundalini by touch, chanting or simply by focusing their energy on you.

So to awaken this energy yourself, there is an easy technique but a very important one. And that is to silently repeat the name of an enlightened teacher, Guru or Saint that you feel connected to whether you have met them or not. If you are of a particular religion, you can repeat the name of a saint of that religion. Otherwise, choose an enlightened teacher who you admire.

You can repeat the name as you inhale, and repeat the name as you exhale. The reason for this is that you take on the Shakti (energy) of what you focus on. So simply by repeating the name of an enlightened Guru or Saint, you take on their energy, their state of bliss. This technique is thousands of years old and is still used today because it is so effective.

If this step makes you uncomfortable, you can repeat “peace” instead.

Really, you are awakening that which is in you, not something from the outside. But enlightened teachers are the outward manifestation of what is inside you. A Saint or Guru have awakened what you wish also to awaken. So by focusing on their name, you awaken that energy in you. It has nothing to do with them as a personality or body but the energy that naturally radiates from them.

Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

The crown chakra is the seventh and last of our main chakra energy points.  Before we get into how to open this chakra with our crown chakra meditation, let's go over exactly what this chakra is and does.  The crown chakra is very spiritual and allows for the flow of wisdom and enlightenment of spiritual consciousness.  This is the chakra that connects you to God/Goddess/Allah/Higher Energy or whatever name you may have for it.  This chakra will not open until you have successfully opened all of the previous chakras.  It is said that the soul comes into the body through the crown at birth and exits through the crown at death.  The crown chakra is the door to universal energy.  It allows you to see yourself as your true nature and to accept yourself as a part of the universe.  It is located just above your head.
Someone who has a closed or blocked crown chakra will be cynical towards spirituality.  They will be greedy and apathetic.  They may even have difficulty learning.  People who have an excessive energy flow to this chakra seem to be addicted to spirituality, confused and have a dissociation from their physical bodies.  An imbalance of this chakra will make your road of life harder and bumpier, since you will lack direction and focus.  These people feel bored, frustrated and lack joy.

When the crown chakra is open and balanced, you will have a sense of spiritual connection.  You will be more open-minded and more wise.  People with a balanced crown are able to perceive, analyze and use information accordingly.  You will come to the realization that we are all a part of the universe and we are all forms of energy working together simultaneously.

The crown chakra is the seventh chakra and it is at the top of the "chakra ladder" which starts from the root chakra that grounds us on the Earth and progresses upward to the Sahasrara which connects us with the universe and the Divine source of creation.
Sahasrara is located at the crown of the head. The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected at a fundamental level.

The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature.

There is no intellectual knowing at the level of seventh chakra, but there is serenity, joy, and deep peace about life.

You have a sense of knowing that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is an order that underlies all of existence.

The "way of the crown chakra" is the way of going beyond the limits of your own ego. It is the way of transcending the ego and knowing that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level.

A level that some call the "Akasha" or "Zero Point Field", or just "the Field". This is the fundamental level of connection.

According to Tantric philosophy, the seventh chakra is both a receiver and giver of energy and consciousness. It receives energy to sustain life and it gives back the personal energy to unite with the collective pool of consciousness.

It is the meeting point between finite (the body and the ego) and infinite (the universe and soul).

It is the place where time and timelessness intersect and where death and eternal life meet.

Divine Light Meditation (Crown Chakra Meditation)

1. Sit in a comfortable meditation pose with your legs crossed and your back straight. If working in a group, sit in a circle.

2. Rest your hands in your lap, palms upward, with your left hand on top. This is the mudra (hand position) for receiving energy. Close your eyes and let your breathing become slow and even.

3. Visualize a thousand-petalled lotus at the crown of your head. Imagine its petals gently opening to reveal an intense light. Let this divine light flow down into you through your crown chakra. Repeat one of the affirmations below, or create one that has more meaning for you. If you are alone, say the words silently; in a group, you may wish to chant them out loud, in unison:

“I am surrounded and protected by divine light.”

“This light nourishes my entire being.”

“I am forever walking in the light.”

“I grow stronger by tuning into the divine light.”

4. Feel the light spiraling down your body. Enjoy the warm glow as it saturates your entire being. Let every cell be permeated by light and inspiration, and every part of your consciousness become illuminated.

5. Focus your senses on the intensity of the light so that you not only see it, but hear, smell, taste, and touch it. Think of the light as a manifestation of your higher self, representing the peace that lies beyond understanding.

6. Feel like a pure channel for the light: allow yourself to be at one with it. In this state of oneness, intuitive thoughts and inspirations may enter your consciousness. Be thankful for this guidance.

7. After 15 minutes, take a few deep breaths and open your eyes.

Ascension Signs and Symptoms of the Spiritual Awakening and Expanded Consciousness

HEAD ITCHING/HEADACHE

Has the top of your head been really itchy, tingly, prickly, and/or crawling sensations along the scalp and/or down the neck and sometimes even into the spine? No, you don’t have bugs in your hair or severe dandruff, it’s because your crown chakra is beginning to open. Your crown chakra is your connection to source/divine energy (God) and when it opens up, you will have the physical response of itchy, tingly scalp and sometimes even headaches. I’ve found the moisturizing creams help very little for the itchiness and simply put, your best bet is just to scratch it. Know that this is a very common symptom and it will pass in time.

NO SLEEP OR SLEEP PATTERNS DIFFERENT

Since you are going through a spiritual awakening you don’t require as much sleep as you used to. You are tapped into source/divine every now. Don’t worry as this is simply a phase and it will pass in time. You will also notice that you will wake perfectly at 3 or 3:30am, right on time. Simply put, go with the flow of things and don’t get upset thinking you need the sleep to function for work the next day. You will still have the energy needed to get things done, even without your normal 8 hours. Also, know you may experience hot flashes and cold sweats in the middle of the night or even during the day. This is part of your body adjusting to new energy and it won’t last forever.

DREAMING CRAZY

You will begin to notice your dream states, even though you may not get good sleep at night, will be very active and somewhat different. I tell people to look up the meanings behind those dreams because they usually mean something. Just because it doesn’t make sense to you, don’t just chalk it up to lack of sleep. Usually they will be associated with your reality and what subject you need to address in your life. Personally my favorite website for looking up dreams is www.dreamdictionary.com.

EAR RINGING/BUZZING/PRESSURE

Has your hearing been bothering you? This is one of the more common signs of the awakening process.  Since your vibration is rising, you are able to audibly ‘hear’ spirit around you. No worries, they’ve been there the whole time, you’re just able to hear them now and it’s all good.

Understand that everything is vibration, therefor everything has a frequency. Pitch is the audible form of frequency, hence ringing in the ear. The lower pitch is usually spirit guides and higher pitches are usually angels. The higher the pitch is the higher the frequency of spirit. I tell people to acknowledge them and say something like ‘I hear you. Thanks’. That will stop the ringing quickly, if you are unable to ‘listen’ to what they have to say. Besides, it helps build some trust between you and your spirit guides and angels.

BODY CHANGES

You will notice different changes when it comes to your body in general. Body aches and pains throughout your entire body or in particular areas that come and go; soreness or stiffness in joints, muscles and bones for no apparent reason that are not due to injury, physical exercise or fatigue, particularly in the back, along the spine, neck, shoulder and head region. There may be general tension throughout the body and the aches and pains may be accompanied by other strange sensations. I’ve noticed it eases considerably with regular chiropractic adjustments.

General changes in vision and perception. You may catch glimpses of sparkles or flashes of light or dark shadows in your peripheral vision. Just because it’s grey, dark and gritty doesn’t mean it’s automatically evil, sometimes it’s something simple like a spirit guide of yours. You may have dry, itchy eyes or blurry vision from time to time, or see haze or static-like energy in air. It’s all okay as you are beginning to see energy and spirit. You may begin to see auras or light around people, animals or objects. This is all due to your third eye chakra opening.

You may experience spontaneous heart palpitations or flutters from time to time that are not related to physical exercise or exertion or medical conditions. You may notice energy and strange sensations in and around the heart and chest area even heaviness in the chest. You can bear down and cough and it will kick your heart back into a regular rhythm and symptoms will subside. This is all due to the heart chakra opening.

You may have pressure and pain in or around the head and face area, including skull, eyes, ears, sinuses, teeth and gums, often times shifting from one side to another. Frequent headaches; strange sensations in around the head or eyes such as pinpricks, electrical shocks, warming energy, tingles or spasm that come and go quickly for no reason. This is because the crown chakra is beginning to open.

Many people notice sudden itching all over or in various areas of the body for no reason or bouts of acne or hives, flushed face, skin rashes or other unusual skin changes that occur out of the blue. You may even notice changes in hair texture and even slight changes in color or highlights; may experience sudden thinning of hair or hair loss. You may hair and nails may start growing at a faster rate than usual despite other issues. It’s all okay. Remember your vibration is rising quickly and it takes the body a bit longer to react to these changes.

Some people have a feeling unusual vibrations or a vibrating sensation within the body or in certain areas of the body; pulsating or vibrating waves or rushes of energy throughout the body; tingling sensations, 'pins and needles', static electricity, jolts or zaps of energy, twitches and muscle spasms; bouts of itching or limbs 'falling asleep', particularly the arms, hands, legs or feet, out of the blue. These energies and sporadic symptoms will be experienced in the various chakra centers depending on blocks/issues or when energetically being cleared or activated. Just go with the flow.  I’ve found movement, such as taking a walk helps with these symptoms.

EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER

Now that you’re ‘plugged in’ you will notice periods of sudden nervousness or anxiety that comes and goes spontaneously for no apparent reason; feeling drained of energy, often around particular people or in certain places; unexplainable worry, panic attacks or feeling overwhelmed; a feeling that you are going crazy or losing your mind; nervous breakdowns; soul transformations or transforming events occurring all at once; sudden and unexpected changes and feeling that you are spiraling out of control.

This is all normal and a phase. It’s part of the chakra system opening and closing (especially the heart and solar plexus). You will notice an increase in "self-talk" or inner chatter. You'll find yourself talking to yourself more often. It’s a perfect way to get though emotional swings. Simply put, go with the flow because it’s a releasing mechanism to some pent up feelings you’ve harbored for a while.  Accept your feelings as they come up. Understand that you will have these emotions because you need to get to the root cause of the emotion and deal with it once and for all. It served a huge, positive purpose in your life and it changes you to be the wonderful person you are now.

LIGHTS AND ELECTRICITY ELECTRIC DEVICES

You may begin to notice cell phones, watches, TV’s, computers, electronic devices, lights and street lights will randomly turn off or not work correctly as they should. Understand it is usually your energy that is causing this fluxuation to happen. Why? Think of your aura, when you are going through the awakening process and your emotional state goes from low to high, your aura sends huge shockwaves outwards. This shock wave will directly affect electricity. I’ve noticed this happens more to females than males. In my opinion, it’s in link with hormones fluxes as well, especially before ovulation and menstruation.

DIGESTION ISSUES/FOOD CRAVINGS

Now that you are beginning to go through the awakening process, your vibration is also getting raised. Your body will not be able to tolerate lower vibrational foods anymore. You may notice about 20 minutes after eating, your tummy/digestion becomes very upset. Simply put, your body won’t be able to process foods with preservatives, additives, some lactose, and even some pork products….this makes going out to eat really interesting!  With this fun new step, you will begin having some food cravings such as veggies and salads. It’s because your body it telling you what you need, so pay attention to it. The more natural and organic the food the less it will bother your digestion.  It’s a natural detox you are going through and may even have flu like symptoms, and/or you may notice weight gain (especially the ‘budda belly’). By adding weight, it is a buffering mechanism against the new energy you are experiencing. These weight changes may occur even if there are no changes in your diet or activity level.
Along with this you may notice changes in eating habits or appetite; periods where there is lack of appetite for days at a time, or over-eating and sudden bouts of extreme hunger or thirst out of the blue. It’s all ok as when you are through this phase the pounds will melt back off and you’ll be able to get back to your normal weight.

NOTICING OF ANIMALS AND CHILDREN

Personally, this is one of the best symptoms to have because it’s fun! As you become more in tuned with who you are at a soul level, you will begin to notice and animals will not be afraid like they used to be and will even begin interacting with you. This is because you are now vibrating at their energy level and seem harmless to them. You will also notice how small children not only stare at you, but may even come up to you in a curious manner. Why? Kids under the age of 5 are very intuitive and fresh from the other side. Therefor they can see your aura and ‘feel’ as if you are safe for them to visit with. Just smile back and appreciate the connection to those special kids and your new found connection to nature as well.

SECULSION

Going through this process, you may feel the need to hibernate, seclude or needing to be in your own space, away from people. The reason is simple, so you can get to know yourself better. It’s normal to have a feeling of detachment from family, friends, coworkers or even the world in general. You may experience a sudden loss of hobbies or interests.  Also, you may notice that the TV, radio and computers simply overwhelm you and you can’t stand to listen to all the chatter. No worries, as this too is a normal phase and as time goes on you can be able to pick things slowly back up. When you hit this phase it’s the perfect time to learn how to meditate too!

INTOLERATE TO NEGATIVITY

This is one of the tougher phases to get through. You will begin to notice negative people, places and things will begin to feel like ‘nails on a chalkboard’ to you. Your best bet is to distance yourself from the negativity and drama, but it becomes very difficult when relationships and family is concerned. Just know no matter what you choose to do with the situation at hand, you must do it for the best interest of you. This isn’t easy and one of the most difficult phases to go through, but once to figure it out then balance can be restored.

DISORIENTATION/CLUMBSY

You may experience more clumsiness or bumping into walls or objects more often, lack of coordination control at times and dropping things more often. You may notice a sense of disorientation or being detached from reality, living 'in your head' or feeling spacey or distracted easily. Also you may notice moments of audio dyslexia where someone is speaking, but it is as if you can't process the information or understand what they are saying. I’ve even noticed periods where words seem to lose their meaning or don't make sense in the same way they used to, jumbled thoughts or trouble comprehending things…all in one day.

What’s even better? You may experience moments of memory loss that may occur on and off or for short periods of time, forgetting the names for common objects at times, forgetting simple words during conversations or forgetting what you are about to say or do moments after thinking it, forgetting why you've walked into a room, experiencing periods of brain fog or brain freezes, being tongue tied often and even jumbled or scattered thinking. This is all normal and your thoughts will get clarified in time.

TIME SHIFT

In the awakening you may feel as if time seems distorted; unusual shifts in relation to the experience of time, events and memories. You may have the feeling or perception that time is speeding up, moving faster or an accelerated perception of time, and other moments feeling that time is slowing down or at a standstill. Some people have a feeling that you can't accomplish all that you want or that 'time is running out' or experiencing a sense of urgency, such as a sense that 'something is about to happen' or that something is coming that you must prepare for. You will also notice frequent deja vu and other similar experiences.

INCREASE IN PSYCHIC ABILITIES

When you go through the spiritual awakening, you will become more intuitive. You will notice an increase in psychic awareness and sensitivity such as: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and other extra-sensory abilities. When your vibration increases, so will your intuition as they go hand in hand.

SYNCRONICITY/COINCIDENCE

Many people will notice an increase in synchronicity and coincidences. Understand you are now connected and you will begin to see this clearly due to synchronicity. You may notice you are thinking of something that is bothering you and the solution appears out of nowhere. This is the easiest way for your guides to help you along your path. There is no such thing as coincidence; it’s always a sign from spirit. Also, you will begin to see numbers such as 1111, 222, 333, etc. Numbers have meanings behind them just as dreams do, so look them up. I wrote about what the meanings mean in another blog here: http://www.psychickelli.com/blog/2013/08/14/Number-Meanings.aspx

GODLIKE CONNECTION

You will experience an increase feeling of Divine and Unconditional Love; moments of gratitude and deep appreciation for life; increased peace, clarity, understanding and compassion; profound revelations and insights; a sense of Oneness and interconnectedness; feeling more connected with nature, other people, animals, the universe, Spirit/Source, God, the All, etc. This is the absolute best symptom you can get! You may even experience encounters with angelic and cosmic beings and the awareness of the presence of non-physical entities or energies.

You may experience an overwhelming desire to leave the planet and a deep longing to return’ home’, even if you don't know where 'home' is or can't explain this feeling. This is not a "suicidal" feeling or necessarily a feeling based on escapism or pain however. You feel compelled to re-connect with Source/Spirit and you begin to seek a deeper meaning and purpose to your life. This is a normal phase and will pass given time.

From here on out you will NEVER get ‘disconnected’. Understand you may feel as if you are, especially when issues get tough in your life. This is because reality sometime takes the forefront rather than your spiritual growth at that time. But know you will grow spiritually from the reality you are going through.

Please Note: Not these entire symptoms can assumed to be attributed to the awakening or ascension process only. Please follow your own inner guidance, use discernment when necessary and consult a health care professional as needed.

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

The Ajna, or third eye chakra, is considered the sixth layer of our energetic system. Consider it something like your spiritual vision, helping you cut through the spiritual muck and see the world for what it really is. It exists in the center of your forehead. Some believe it can be physiologically traced to the pineal gland, which is a pea-sized conical mass of tissue behind the third ventricle of the brain responsible for secreting hormones in most mammals.

When opened, the chakra allows for heightened intuition, intelligence, and a higher guidance for our lives.

There are some things you can do to open this third eye chakra such as letting go of material things, leaving behind your fear of death, astral project, live a more spiritual life, and be more decisive.

What is the Third Eye Chakra?

The third eye, or brow, chakra is located in the forehead, between and slightly above the eyebrows. Its keywords are "insight," "intellect," and "intuition." Its associated color is indigo, and its element is light.
The Sanskrit name of the sixth chakra is Ajna, meaning "command" or "perception." The chakra of mind, Ajna helps us think clearly.

It also helps us see clearly, both physically and psychically. It supports imagination, awareness of the subtle/energetic world, intuitive knowing, and inner vision. When you see something "with your mind's eye," you are seeing it with the Ajna chakra.

Sixth-chakra intuition and wisdom are universal and transcendent in nature. The 6th chakra, when highly developed, elevates consciousness and confers deep spiritual insight and awareness. Perception of non-ordinary reality may accompany this.

The third eye chakra is a main point for external life energy (prana, chi) to enter and be distributed to the other chakras. It is also a key to ongoing spiritual development. Thus, keeping it as clear and balanced as possible is very important.
The Third Eye has been opened. We have now moved into the “command center” of the Kundalini process. Ajna means “to command,” through this chakra we can learn how to master our minds. Where before we were under the illusion that all things were separate and disconnected, we gain the ability to see how everything is interconnected, how we are all truly one. Wisdom is a boon in this region. But we must remember that true mastery is not mastering others; it’s mastering our former self. Like Nietzsche wrote, “Only now are you going your way to greatness. Peak and abyss, they are now joined together, for all things are baptized in a well of eternity, and lie beyond good and evil.”
The Ajna chakra is symbolized by a violet lotus with two petals. It is located directly behind the forehead. It is the seat of consciousness as well as our “sixth” sense, often referred to as the psychic chakra.

Short Term Symptoms

After performing one of the third eye opening meditations you should almost instantly feel something as a sign of third eye awakening. Here is a list of some of the short term third eye symptoms or side effects you may experience, from when you start your meditation to a couple of weeks after.
  • Pressure - Pressure on your third eye is THE most common sign that your third eye is awakening and that your third eye meditation has worked. The pressure can be very intense and can feel like someone or some powerful energy force is putting a heavy pressure on your skull or forehead.
  • Tingling - You should also begin to feel a tingling sensation on your third eye or crown chakra, and it will feel like something is touching your forehead like an insect or a hair, and you will notice yourself keep trying to brush away whatever is tingling your forehead but with no luck.
  • Headache - Many people experience getting a headache after practicing third eye meditation, as your mind is focused and concentrated more than usual.
  • Seeing Colored Light - Seeing light while meditating is also quite normal and something many people experience when practicing third eye meditation. The lights can have many forms, and can be dots, spirals, rays and so on. People often see purple or green lights in their mind's eye.
  • Seeing Shapes - Some people see shapes when they meditate and often times it is the shape of an eye. This is also a sign that your third eye is activating, as the third eye is connected to the vision and visual images.
  • Vivid Dreams - You can experience having vivid dreams or nightmares when your third eye is opening, as your mental vision is getting stronger.

Long Term Benefits of Third Eye Meditation

So after you have opened your third eye and been practicing regular third eye meditation to fully activate the eye, here are some of the long term symptoms and benefits you will experience.
  • A Better understanding - You will begin to get a better understanding of life and the universe and everything will suddenly make much more sense, as you see the world from another perspective.
  • Improved Intuition - As you awaken your third eye, you will become much more in touch with your intuitive abilities such as clairvoyance, and you will be able to receive guidance from the universe.
  • Develop Psychic Abilities - With an awakened third eye, you will be able to develop psychic abilities such as your intuition, ESP, telepathy, psychokinesis, healing, aura reading and so on, as it connects you with those spiritual energies.
  • Sense the Truth - The third eye will allow you to see beyond what your physical eyes are able to see, and you will be able to look behind a persons words and sense the unspoken truth.
  • Astral Projection - Third eye awakening can make it a lot easier for you to experience astral projection and lucid dreaming, as you have created that strong link between you and the universe.

Third eye chakra guided meditation script

  1. Take a long and deep breath. As you exhale, move attention to the centre of your forehead, in-between the brows and just above the brow line, and imagine an indigo-blue chakra. The dark indigo glow of the chakra illuminates your mind and then spreads to the rest of your body.
  2. Imagine an entrance to your mind through the third eye. You open the door and walk into an empty room. Feel free to decorate the room any way you like - choose your color, decor, look and feel.
  3. Make it suit your tastes exactly, so that it becomes your personal sanctuary.
  4. Find the most comfortable spot in the room and sit down.
  5. You look out onto the world from there. Bring into focus the same thoughts, issues, situations and ideas that occupy your day-to-day life. You silently contemplate upon them.
  6. Now see your sixth chakra spinning and gaining strength. As it spins faster, the chakra's indigo light washes over you and pervades every cell, every pore in your body.
  7. Breathe deeply and feel the energy bursting forth from your third eye as rays of dazzling deep blue light.
  8. Rest in this awareness.
  9. Gently stand up and walk to the door through which you entered the room. Walk out and look back at your inner sanctuary and feel one with it.
  10. When you are ready, open your eyes and arise.

Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

This is the fifth article in the Chakras Series. It is about the fifth chakra – the sky blue chakra centered in our throat.

According to Hindu tradition, the throat chakra also known as Vishuddha meaning purification, is the fifth primary chakra out of all seven chakras in the human body.
The throat chakra is situated in the neck region near the spine with its superficial activation point in the depression of the throat.

It is related to the ears and mouth due to its association with hearing and speaking respectively.

Functions of the Throat Chakra

The functions of the throat chakra do not only offer physical benefits, they offer mental and psychological benefits too. The following are the functions and benefits of the throat chakra.

Physical health

Physically, this chakra is associated with the thyroid gland and the human endocrine system, which is responsible for the release of hormones. The thyroid gland plays a role in releasing hormones that are important for growth and development. Also it regulates the body’s metabolic system, and is responsible for the proper functioning of the larynx, trachea, ears, nose, teeth, mouth, throat and the carotid arteries

When the throat chakra is blocked, you may suffer from many diseases and physical defects such as laryngitis, chronic throat defects, hypothyroidism, autoimmune thyroiditis, lack of motivation, fatigue, hoarse voice, cold sores, jaw pains, gum defects, headaches and obstruction in speech. Also you may resort to lying, gossiping and you will not be able to hear or deliver speech properly.

Effective communication

The throat chakra is connected to self-expression, creativity, writing, listening to words and music, smell and taste. When this chakra is balanced, we speak and listen to people and what they have to say. After listening, we constructively respond with words and emotions.

Communication is harmed when the chakra is blocked. In this case, some people overindulge in eating and drinking in order to keep the throat busy and thus avoid communication. Self esteem is also hurt, and dominant feelings might be those of anger and aggression, hate and bitterness.

Dream state

The throat chakra is also associated with the subconscious state of mind or the dream state. The chakra gains access to your dream state and allows you to see dreams clearly.

Psychic hearing abilities

When the chakra is in balanced and its energy is enhanced, the chakra improves your psychic abilities related to hearing called clairaudience.

Spiritual lessons

When balanced, the throat chakra allows you to take responsibility for your actions, to be strong, courageous, and self confident.

An imbalance in this chakra can make you feel that the world around you is hostile and you will expect aggression and violence from others. You will feel humiliated instead of feeling loved and nourished.

Throat Chakra Blockage

A blocked throat chakra can significantly impact your ability to communicate effectively for fear of ridicule and judgement. A throat chakra blockage can also manifest as the inability to express and realize your truth in the world. When the fifth chakra is open and balanced, you are able to express yourself clearly and honestly in any situation with confidence.

Common Signs of Throat Chakra Blockage

You may find yourself unable to speak your truth when you need it the most, or holding back on expressing your needs and desires. Perhaps, you long for realizing your dreams and living with a strong and clear purpose, but seem to not be able to quite get there. These are common signs that your throat chakra  does not function at its optimal level.

Physical Symptoms of Blocked Energy in the Throat Chakra

When the throat chakra is blocked or otherwise imbalanced, energy flow is hindered and can lead to physical symptoms affecting the head, mouth, throat, and neck. It is not uncommon to experience neck pain, headaches, hoarseness, and sore throat when the flow of energy through the throat chakra is disrupted.

Some common physical symptoms of blockage include:
  • chronic sore throat
  • frequent headaches
  • dental issues
  • mouth ulcers
  • hoarseness
  • thyroid problems
  • laryngitis
  • Temporomandibular disorders of the jaw (commonly known as TMJ)
  • neck pain
Consequently, the blockage can also impact your physical health. When you experience such signs of physical discomfort, healing practices focusing on the upper body area, in particular your neck and shoulders, can bring relief and allow energy to move more freely. Of course, for serious and recurring symptoms, please consult a physician whom you trust.

Emotional Signs of Throat Chakra Blockage

When the throat chakra is imbalanced, the blockage can also manifest through non-physical symptoms that may impact you at various levels from psychological and emotional, to psychically and spiritually.

Non-physical signs of blockage can be more prevalent. Among the more commons signs are:
  • fear of speaking
  • inability to express thoughts
  • shyness
  • inconsistency in speech and actions
  • social anxiety
  • inhibited creativity
  • stubbornness
  • detachment
For instance, perpetuated blockages that are fairly significant can cause one to become arrogant, deceptive, domineering, or manipulative. On the contrary, energy that flows freely through the throat chakra promotes effective, truthful communication. You are able to “find you.” You are confident, responsible, and can easily find the right words to express your thoughts.

A blockage of the throat chakra can cause you to become stoic, quiet, and fearful. The imbalance may also create feelings of anxiety, insecurity, and shyness when it comes to self-expression and speaking to others. Public speaking can cause near paralysis when the issue is a blocked fifth chakra.

An imbalance in the throat chakra can adversely affect many aspects of your personal and professional life. You may find you avoid social situations and are more comfortable alone. You may even become distrustful of your inner voice.

What To Do About A Blocked Throat Chakra

Clearing the throat chakra involves learning to let go and trusting your inner voice. Not a small task for a lot of us! Check out the general guidelines for throat chakra healing for practical ideas on how to restore balance in this center.

A few basic steps to clear this chakras include:
  • Working through and releasing all negative emotions, including guilt, hurt, and resentment can work wonders to restore energy balance in the throat chakra. Sometimes a good cry can also help alleviate a blockage of the fifth chakra.
  • Practicing mindful speech, action, and deeds can help you maintain throat chakra balance. For example, talk openly and honestly with others on a regular basis.
  • Meditating on and incorporating the throat chakra’s color, blue, into your life can also calm emotional upheaval. For instance, introduce blue-colored flowers or decor to your home environment.

Heart Chakra (Anahata)

Heart Chakra (Anahata)

The heart chakra is located in the chest and is developed between the ages of 4-7 years. When the heart chakra is opened it holds the energy of Peace, Compassion, Unconditional Love, Honesty and Harmony. These energies cannot be fully felt, understood and integrated until the lower and higher chakras are cleared, balanced and activated. The heart chakra is the place of balance between our lower, masculine, dark (human ego) and our higher, feminine, light (God) selves. Our heart chakra is the entryway to our soul and it cannot be fully opened until we integrate the light and dark within us.

We each need to accept and understand our dualistic / human / egoic / divine natures in order to reach a place of non-duality and transformation. It is in our heart chakra where we learn to embrace and love our vulnerabilities, darkness, limitations, hurt and pain so we can transcend the smallness of our human ego and grow towards something greater and more expansive.
Our heart is our center, our essence, our spiritual core. Once the heart chakra is fully activated, it will awaken our soul consciousness and the higher chakras bringing our Spirit down into our physical being. Our heart and soul is the bridge to the God Mind where we end duality of matter and Spirit unifying ourselves into a place of connection, wholeness and inner peace. When the heart is fully opened we remember our divinity and allow the love of creation to flow through us. We remember that we are God in human form and this recognition of the self also helps us to recognize the divinity in everyone and everything else. In this state, we recognize the interconnectedness in everything!

The heart chakra is the integration point between the upper (light) and lower (dark) chakras; it is the center of our human cross or physical body.

Every time we block a chakra we crucify ourselves, keeping us from fully accessing our highest soul’s potential and union with our God self.  Because all humans have experienced many lifetimes where love has been withheld, we have an epidemic of wounded hearts that need to be healed. Because of this, we have created energetic shields over our hearts to protect ourselves. We shut down our emotional bodies disconnecting us from our heart centered consciousness and intuition allowing our egoic minds to take over. We closed our hearts and blocked the continuous flow of love from the ecstatic presence of our God Self.

Until the heart chakra is fully opened we will not be able to flow divine energy into our high heart or thymus gland where our divine spark is ignited and our Christ Consciousness is expanded. The “Return of Christ” is the activation of each individuals Christ Consciousness which activates our Christed Luminous Light Body. When this occurs to every person on the planet we will literally create Heaven here on Earth. We are all Christed, regardless of what religion, or lack of religion we choose to follow.

It is our divine birthright and we all carry the Christ Seed within our being. Once our lower and higher chakras are cleared our divine heart will be activated releasing the need to crucify ourselves or another and we will no longer need to carry the burden of our human egoic cross that creates suffering.

Balanced Heart Chakra: Oneness with Life, Healing, True Forgiveness, Courage, Honesty, Healthy Relationships, Healthy Boundaries, Balance, Unconditional Love, Faith, Peace, Compassion, Harmony, Openness, Balance of Giving and Receiving, Emotional Wisdom, Joy, Bliss, Expansion, Self Preservation, Self Love, Self Nurturance.

Unbalanced Heart Chakra: Withholding Love, Separation, Controlling, Demanding, Antisocial, Critical, Judgmental, Depression, Lack of Empathy, Lack of Boundaries, Codependent, Jealousy, Conditional Love

Traumas To the Heart Chakra: Rejection, Abandonment, Betrayal, Physical and Emotional Abuse, Grief, Sexual Abuse, Death of a Loved One, Divorce

Bodily Symptoms Expressing Blockage: Heart Disorders, Circulatory Dysfunction, Lung Disorders, Tension between Shoulders, Weak Immune System.

Many of us have endured difficult soul lessons in this lifetime due to our soul’s desire to clear and heal its residual karma and distorted energy from all previous lifetimes. Because of this, many of us have experienced great pain and disharmony. Once we understand that pain can be used as a catalyst for transformation and every experience that has ever happened to us was created by us for greater soul growth, then we can fully step into a place of complete surrender, acceptance and forgiveness. When we allow our hearts to fully open we create a bridge between our lower chakras and our higher chakras fully stepping into our power becoming heart centered conscious creators of our circumstances. We will no longer need to suffer the consequences of our unconscious creations. Once the heart chakra is cleared and opened, divine energy will continue to move up into the fifth chakra called the Throat Chakra.

The stages of the fourth (heart) chakra opening

Closed

If you don’t have any feelings or thoughts associated with your heart, it means your heart center is closed. In other words, when you hear something about heart or love, you feel completely neutral about it – like love or anything to do with heart are separate things from who you are.

If your heart center is closed, you are likely to feel lonely, angry and consider other people as separate from you. Your life is probably full of suffering, failure to understand others and insensitivity.

Blocked

If you love some people and hate others, or your love is selfish, then you have blockages in your heart chakra. Conditional love also shows a blocked area of the heart. Emotional ups and downs are too associated with a blocked heart center.

Balanced

When your heart center is properly balanced, you will feel at ease with yourself and with other people. You will understand others and accept them for who they are. You will also fully accept yourself and appreciate who you are.

You will easily understand the pain and joy of other people – you will feel it in your heart. Furthermore, you will know whether people lie or are honest with you. You will also become a more caring, joyous and appreciative individual.

Over-active heart center

Some people suffer from over-active heart center. The symptoms of over-activity are these:

1.You are desperate for people to love you, therefore you engage in activities that might not be beneficial for you but would please others;

2.You are in a relationship where you give all and your partner does not appreciate what you do and doesn’t give anything in return;

3.You cannot say “no” to people.

To balance an over-active heart chakra you should stay in silence and meditate on your heart center. However, don’t try to infuse your heart with a green light as it may make you too emotional. Simply meditate whilst focusing on your heart. Also, stay in silence without any thoughts for 10-30 minutes every day. Being in nature will also help you correct any imbalances in your heart center.

Heart chakra meditation: How to meditate from your heart

  • Begin your session by sitting comfortably.
  • Bring your attention to your body, relaxing and releasing muscle tension.
  • Focus on your breathing and let go of the stresses and noise around you.
  • Next, gently rub your palms together to warm and energize them.
  • Then, place your right palm on your chest over your heart, and put your left hand on top of the right.
  • With your eyes closed, imagine your heart, the center of your body, glowing with radiant energy. Feel the center of your chest warm, glowing, radiant, and full of energy.
  • Imagine how that energy radiates out to the rest of your body, and stay with that image for a short while.
  • Once you’ve become one with that energy, send it into areas of your body or mind where there is pain and out through your palms to loved ones or to the world around you. Stay with that feeling for a while.
  • Then, begin to draw your attention back to your heart, back to your breath and slowly end your meditation session.

Incorporating a short meditation session into your daily life can have a positive effect on the physical and emotional well-being of your heart.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

When this chakra is stimulated and opens up, fears may be released in the form of body shakes, or as a loosening of the bowels (diarrhea). When anger is being released, you may feel like yelling and screaming, and all of a sudden feel nauseous and throw up. You may project a more powerful presence you did not have before, as your words are imbued with authority and intensity.

This center is found at our stomach level, just located below the Heart.  It is connected to the element of Fire and all that we must do or not do. It is our “Right to Act”. Our main issues for this Chakra are Power and Energy.  The goals is that of vitality, strength of will, sense of purpose, and our effectiveness.  If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, ulcers, timidity, domination, fatigue, digestive problems, authority issues, and fears of doing or not doing. When the solar plexus is open, you have found your unique gift, the work that gives you pleasure and makes you feel fulfilled. One way to find your gift is to consider what you most enjoyed doing when you were a child, this will give you clues about your natural inclinations.
Consciousness: Parts of the consciousness associated with this chakra include perceptions concerned with power, control, freedom, the ease with which one is able to be themselves – ease of being. Mental activity and the mental body is also associated with this chakra. The solar plexus chakra is also associated with the level of being we call the personality, or ego.
The relationship a person has with fire, or the sun, can be seen to have its parallels in the person’s relationship with the parts of their consciousness that this chakra represents.  Someone sensitive about the sun, then, can be seen to have particular sensitivities about power, or control, or freedom.

When this Chakra is in balance you will be in complete control over your emotions and thoughts. Your ego mind, or small mind will have no unwanted influence over your actions. You will know without a doubt, and accept your place in the Universe, have self-love and, in turn, have a great appreciation for all the people in your life and the uniqueness that they bring to world. When in tune, your Solar-plexus will radiate warmth and joy through-out your entire being, and to others who come into contact with you.
Over-active Solar-plexus Chakra
If your chakra is over-active you may be  judgemental or critical – and you will easily find fault in others. You may be demanding and have extreme emotional problems, being very rigid or stubborn (it’s either your way or no way). Often anger, or aggressiveness result from an over-active chakra. You may always be planning to do things, but never doing, and your work or interests become a priority over things you have to do (a workaholic). You may also be a perfectionist and can’t settle on something that is already good enough, it always has to be better.
Under-active Solar-plexus Chakra
If this chakra is under active it can cause severe emotional problems. You may have a lot of doubt and mistrust towards the people in your life, and worry too much about what other people might think about you. You may also run on “auto pilot” avoiding your feelings of depression or anxiety; you may feel afraid or alone when you start to look at what you have been avoiding. You also may feel that you are not good enough and be seeking a constant approval of others, this can lead to a need, or dependency on the people in your life.
